Join Transcend for a FREE virtual Name Change Workshop. This event is for all trans & gender diverse NC residents 18 years of age and up.

In this workshop you will learn the necessary steps for changing your name legally in the state of North Carolina. In the second half of the workshop, pair off with one of our trained volunteers and complete the necessary paperwork. Not ready to take that step? That’s totally fine, we’ll equip you with the information you need to take that step when you’re ready! Get connected with ongoing support following the workshop.
This event if for anyone who is:
– 18+ years old
– NC resident or planning to become a resident in the next year
– Simply interested in learning more re: name change process in NC
– Have detailed questions or looking for support to complete the name change process
This workshop will not provide any funding or cover the cost of a name change or the related activities. We may however discuss ways you can subsidize the process or reduce costs.
